The SEE Heritage Network took part in the Best in Heritage Conference in Dubrovnik, medicine Croatia, on 22-24 September 2011. Irina Subotic from Europa Nostra Serbia (member organization of the SEE Heritage Network) took important role of moderating one of the Conference sessions, and Visnja Kisic also from Europa Nostra Serbia volunteered in the Conference organizational team, while the Transilvania Trust from Romania (as well member organization of the Network) presented the project CSE in Heritage.
The 2011 event of the traditional Best in Heritage Conference celebrated its 10th Anniversary Edition. This Conference, presenting the best, awarded museums, heritage or conservation projects all over the Europe, is organized by the European Heritage Association, based in Zagreb, Croatia, in partnership with Europa Nostra. It is dedicated to promoting the professional excellence in heritage professions "by the power of example". This year, in addition to the 21 awarded ones, six new projects were presented, dedicated to the memory of Kenneth Hudson OBE, and Georges Henri Riviere. The Post Conference event was organized around the thought-provocative theme of the year: "The Difficult Heritage".
