National museum in the north Banat town of Kikinda became very attractive since 2006 after presentation of the mamut bones found in the clay exploration in the Toza Markovi? factory for brick and tiles. The sceleton of mamut, see populary named Kika, quickly became one of the symbols of the town and the basis of its cultural development. The Inovation centre of the Faculty for philosophy from Belgrade, together with seven partners did project management plan. The reconstructed copy of the sceleton was set in the inner yard of the Museum during 2009.
The project „The Kikinda mamut" is part of the bigger integrative project which is aimed to revitalize the cultural landscape of Hall II of the Toza Markovi? factory. Together in partnership with local government of Kikinda, they are founders of three museums of different type:
1. Museum of quartier period (paleontologija)
2. Museum of brickwork (industrijska kultura)
3. Museum of sculptural collony „Terra" (contemporary art)
